Tips for Finding a Cover-up Artist
Finding an experienced cover-up artist can be challenging.
-
Ask the tattoo shop you are going to ahead of time if they offer discounts or free cover-ups for gang, racist, or trafficking tattoos.
-
Visit the shops social media page to see your artist of choice cover-up work.
-
When inspecting a cover-up image make sure the item covered up is not recognizable under the new tattoo.
-
Look for testimonials from previous clients to help gauge the longevity of the work and the experience working with the artist.
-
Set realistic expectations.
-
If you cannot find financial assistance covering up the tattoo, consider setting money aside each pay check until you have enough for a cover-up by a reputable artist.
